OHEAP Fire & Security: 2025 Recap

by | Fire Alarms, Fire Protection, Fire Risk Assessments

2025 has been a rewarding year for OHEAP Fire & Security. With expanding fire safety and security services, a strong commitment to excellence, and a clear drive to establish itself as an industry leader, the business saw substantial success. It has also been an incredibly busy and fulfilling period. Here are some of the year’s highlights.

An Exciting Year of Change

OHEAP Fire & Security kicked off 2025 by merging its Risk Assessment Solutions into its wider range of fire protection services. The merger included services such as health and safety training, risk assessments, and compliance documentation management in the OHEAP Fire & Security portfolio. It also strengthened the holistic safety risk management solutions OHEAP Fire & Security offer to all customers.

In February, the team announced its membership with the Reset Group. This was an exciting step forward in delivering consistently high-quality service. Though compliance can often feel daunting, this partnership helps reduce that pressure for clients.

March saw OHEAP Fire & Security proudly awarded a place on the Building Safety and Fire Compliance Framework Agreement by NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS). This means any NHS or public sector organisation can now access OHEAP Fire & Security’s fire and building compliance products and services.

During the busy summer months, OHEAP Fire & Security was thrilled to relaunch its LCPB-approved kitchen suppression system offering. These bespoke solutions include leading brands such as Amerex and Ansul. It has been great to see engineers designing, installing and maintaining these Green Seal systems across the Midlands. This relaunch has been a valuable addition to OHEAP Fire & Security’s expanding fire safety portfolio.

Row of industry grade workwear boots

In September, the business had the opportunity to support future tradespeople at Derby College. This two-week event marked over six years of collaboration. OHEAP Fire & Security’s workwear team provided students with industry-grade equipment and PPE, as well as insights across sectors including engineering, construction, and automotive services.

October marked the launch of Awaab’s Law as part of the Social Housing (Regulation) Act. OHEAP Fire & Security championed this vital step in improving tenant safety. Alongside providing guidance to residents on protecting their homes, the company continues to support HMOs through these regulatory changes. As landlords take on increased responsibilities, OHEAP Fire & Security is prepared to help with everything from HMO fire safety checklists to fire risk assessments delivered by highly accredited professionals.

OHEAP Fire & Security has also been actively preparing clients for the upcoming Martyn’s Law. While information on the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 is still emerging, the company has taken a proactive stance. Its growing security services now include lockdown alarms, helping venues of all sizes strengthen their protection with confidence.

By the end of November, the team had become a trusted voice in educating users about upcoming changes to EU laws on PFAS extinguishers. Rather than creating confusion or pressure, OHEAP Fire & Security aims to provide calm, reliable guidance. Although Hydrex extinguishers offer an excellent eco-friendly alternative, the message is clear: there is no need to panic. As new regulations develop, the company will continue to support customers every step of the way.

OHEAP Launches Billboards Across Derby

To round off an excellent year, OHEAP Fire & Security achieved a major milestone by launching eight electronic billboards across Derby. These currently appear in the centre of town and outside the Derby County Football Stadium. They reflect the exciting growth of the OHEAP Fire & Security brand that shows no signs of stopping.

“2025 has been a year of growth and success for OHEAP Fire & Security,” says Nicholas Heap, Managing Director. “However, what has been wonderful to witness is that no matter how the industry changes, OHEAP have been ready to provide support.”
