Emergency Lighting

In an emergency, the mains power supply can be disrupted.  In such situations it is important to have a secondary lighting system ready to guide people as they evacuate the building.  Emergency luminaires are required to provide light for 3 hours, as detailed in BS5266 pt1, 2011.  This British Standard also provides information on where luminaires should be sited and the level of illumination they should provide.  In addition, exit and safety signs are required as detailed in the Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996.

At OHeap we supply a wide range of emergency lights and signage.  We can also service lighting installations, testing each luminaire for the required 3 hours to ensure they will be ready to work if an emergency situation arises.
