9. PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES
Appearance: Fine, yellow powder
Odour: Odourless
pH: 4.5 of 5% solution in water
Density: Settled apparent density 1000 - 1300 kg/m3; loose density 1.8g/m3
Solubility: Soluble in water but silicon additive delays dissolution
Flammability: Non-flammable
Decomposition: at 190°C in flame zone

10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY
Reacts with alkalis to liberate ammonia.
If powder becomes damp or hard it is not suitable for fire fighting purposes.

11. TOXICOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Data on acute toxicity Oral, rat, LD50
Ammonium Sulphate 3000mg/kg
Mono Ammonium Phosphate 3000mg/kg
Ingestion: Practically non-harmful
Skin contact: Mild Irritant
Inhalation: Long term inhalation of dust may impair lung function
Eye contact: Dust may cause discomfort or irritation

12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Because product is soluble in water it could lower the pH if washed into watercourses. In the event of large spillage, advise appropriate authority. Note: ammonium salts and
phosphates act as plant nutrients.

13. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS
Dispose of surplus product or contaminated packaging according to local and national legislation. Do not dispose with alkalis.

14. TRANSPORT INFORMATION
Not classified as hazardous for transport.

15. REGULATORY INFORMATION
Not classified under Chemicals (Hazard Information and Packaging for Supply) Regulations 1994 as hazardous. Refer to Health and Safety at Work Act and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Work Regulations. This material safety data does not constitute the user’s own assessment of workplace risk as required by the above regulations. The Manual Handling                    Operations Regulations may be applicable to certain pack sizes of this product.
