3.HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
No known acute health effects.
4.FIRST AID MEASURES
4.1 Contact with the eyes
Irrigate with water for at least 10 minutes holding eyelids apart.
4.2 Contact with the skin
Wash off with plenty of water.
4.3 Inhalation
Move to fresh air.
4.4 Ingestion
Rinse mouth with water and give plenty of water to drink.
If other symptoms persist seek medical advice and treat symptomatically.
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
No special measures required, as this product is a fire extinguishing medium.
6.ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Clear up spillage and transfer to a container for recovery or disposal. Vacuum cleaning is recommended to minimise dust formation.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling: When handling this product use suitable containment methods to avoid generation of dust and local exhaust ventilation to limit personal exposure.
Storage: Keep cool and dry in the absence of vibration. Maintain good housekeeping practice.
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS AND PERSONAL PROTECTION
Occupational exposure standards:
United Kingdom OES: 10mg/m3 total dust: 5mg/m3 respirable dust
8 hour time weighted averages.(Ref: EH40/96)
Personal Protection: Wear suitable respiration protection e.g. dust mask/respirator to resource personal exposure to below OES.
Overalls, gloves and eye protection recommended for regular
handling and the normal hygiene measures adopted when using chemicals.
